Maine Oil Painting, Waiting for The Tide, 16×20 oil on linen canvas by Deborah Chapin.

This Maine Oil painting of “Waiting for the Tide” is original art piece painted on location en plein air and my other sat for the piece call “Waiting for the Tide.    It was painted in Acadia National Park and was part of the Arts for the Parks museum touring exhibitions.   Other pieces in the collection exhibited in the Arts for the Parks were Moonrise and Tranquility.  other pieces in the Maine collection are Pemaquid at Dawn, Pemaquid Moon

About the Artist:

My Online Studio is an extension of my studio. When you enter you are entering my studio but without the housekeeping. I offer fine art in original oil paintings on linen and also canvas prints of favorite original pieces. This Maine oil painting was done en plein air and my mother sat for the piece called Waiting for the Tide. It was painted in Arcadia National Park and was part of the Arts for the Park museum touring exhibition. It’s a 16 x 20 original oil on linen canvas.

  • in 1982 that was sold at $600,  in 2020 is worth $2375?
  • in 1984 that was sold at $2500, in 2020 is worth $8625?
  • in 1987 that was sold at $7000, in 2020 is work $21783

This doesn’t account for anything but the value of the $ and nothing added for a lifetime of professional experience and worldwide exhibition history.
