This book is a study book for those who want to paint on Pierre and can’t take my course or could take my course and want to have a study guide to go with it. It covers the subjects of basics and also some ideas on looking at subject matter on site and how to execute it quickly there will be a new book coming out in the end of 2024 called “painting seascapes en plein air” Which will cover plein air painting in greater detail.

Deborah Chapin’s Marine paintings have a long exhibition history starting with American Society Marine Artists in 1980 at the now defunct Grand Central Galleries in NYC. As an Independent artist since embarking on her career she has exhibited extensively in top shows and Museums including: **Grand Palais and Carrousel de Louvre in Paris** with the Societe National des Beaux Arts, Mystic Seaport Gallery International since it’s inception in 1982, Of Ships and Sea Exhibits at Greenwich Workshop Gallery, **Artist of America Exhibitions Colorado Historical Museum**, **Ketterer Kunst Auctions**, and Lectured on plein air painting at the **Smithsonian American Art Museum** just to name a few. At the time of her debut she was one of two women in the national exhibitions of Marine Art. This book is the Exhibition Catalog for the Earth Sea and Sky Virtual 3D exhibition as well as a selected story of private collections and exhibitions throughout the 40 years I’ve been in Art. Works in the show are culled from my private collection, this exhibition of select works of plein air painting, some exhibiting for the first time, some having been in museum exhibitions, and various one person exhibitions, but not shown together from different regions and eras. The 2nd half of the book is a collection of stories of Private Collectors works and Exhibition Stories.
