The UPS Story: I hasseled the UPS staff to pay the insurance on my piece when they poked a hole in it using a forklift. My crate was an airfloat double lined crate with 300 lb test and the painting was secured to the crate inside in order to avoid damage. It was clearly marked “do not use forklift” but they did anyway.

At anyrate, the letter I wrote to the UPS at the time made them cough up the insurance payment. I kept the painting and the gallery framed the new piece for me into a diptych and voila new painting. Read the letter that lit a fire.
