Description

Did You Know? That with just inflation a painting:
  • in 1982 that was sold at $600, in 2020 is worth $2375?
  • in 1984 that was sold at $2500, in 2020 is worth $8625?
  • in 1987 that was sold at $7000, in 2020 is work $21783
This doesn't account for anything but the value of the $ and nothing added for a lifetime of professional experience and worldwide exhibition history.

Blue floral art on canvas "I painted each blossom en plein air (on location) over several weeks as a portrait of these flowers, adding each flower as it opened, faded and died creating the composition as I went. "  Exhibited at Texas Art Gallery as part of a National Exhibition of the National Academy of Professional Plein Air Painters (NAPPAP) in their "Natural World Observed Series" As a rather odd turn of events on the way to the exhibition UPS decided to spear the painting with a forklift, clearly ignoring the FRAGILE and do not FORKLIFT printed all over the air float box. I have shipped paintings to Germany, UK, France and all over the US as well as having participated in many US embassy exchanges in Russia, United Arab Emirates and South America yet UPS managed to damage a painting going to Texas. Needless to say that was the end of their handling of my work. At any rate, I told the gallery to split the painting into two pieces sparing as many blossoms as possible so the original is now a diptych and looks very nice as such.
