Monique Irises, floral oil painting, by Deborah Chapin

Monique Irises, Purple floral oil painting, original by Deborah Chapin

Monique Irises is a Purple Iris floral oil painting, by Deborah Chapin. Painted en plein air (on location). A portrait of these flowers which only captures a small portion of their personality.  This is a garden of irises that were along the wall at the place I stayed in La Roches Guyon, France while painting in the Giverny gardens and surrounding regions.   I experimented with some pallet work on the back to create the wall chipping affect.
