Touring Maine with Art - Watching Sea:Catspaws

I want to break down what I’m seeing and when I see it, and see the sea through an artist's eyes. #takingadeeperlook by focusing on one topic at a time and then delving into various aspects of #connectingtonature in a way you may not have thought of before. #watchingthesea Then when I go LIVE again and I’m painting these things which I’ve been posting about you’ll understand one more thing about nature and Art.

Since it was -13 degrees I decided to just show you a variety of compositions that I could have painted on location with verticles, horizontals, dynamic diagonals and simple design elements.

Full film shown on my site in higher res at 1920x1080 -- Big Screen videos at http://gallery.deborahchapin.com/bigscreen -- This year I'm branching out into several new things. As some of you know I started an online arts education program for children called Art Teaches That. That is well on it's way. In the process of doing the educational videos I have been working on my own video skills. I have been doing photography for 40 years but as resource material and understanding more than anything. This has evolved to where I have started to create short video studies of nature. -- At any rate, this was an experiment in non-film filming. — It is all handheld because I have found that to be the best way to actually capture the movements of surf especially during storms or when you are actually on the water as when I photographed yachts or nature on the sea. This is my first attempt at putting it together with a non-video film this way to create a short film. This piece was created from a session at Pemaquid Point and I hope to perfect this technique. -- Donate to see more videos like this one and support the educational programs. https://www.paypal.com/biz/fund?id=WNTWZSAKZ3GNC And receive 10% discount on any purchase on my site. Thanks in Advance Debbie -- Forward this link to your friends and family so that they can watch the video too. Available work http://Gallery.DeborahChapin.com    Also Note: to those who are interested in purchasing work on my site you can buy directly or you can put it on a layaway plan of 1/3 down and 1/3 payments over 6 months. You don’t actually get the painting until you’re fully paid but it is a way to buy which a lot of collectors have used. This winter I’m going to be working on the white horses again, both in film and paint and a moonlight set which I’ve drafted out. ———- #womenmarineartists - #mainetheway #midcoastmaine #maine_igers #visitmaine #maineisgorgeous #mainecoast #maineart #mainegallery #coastalmaine #mainemarineartist #mainegalleryguide #downeastmagazine #deborahchapin #americanartist #americanmarineartists #amwomenartists #Pemaquidpoint #Bristolme @womenmarineartists #marineart #seascapepaintings #seascapepainting #seacapeartists #seascapeart - @deborahchapinfineart
