Chapin Maine Studio Saga ~ April 2019
Notes From the Studio
The first of my workshops this year is scheduled. Because the work load is lining up to be quite a lot I’m starting small.
Chapin Studio and Garden @ Stoneridge Bristol Maine
April brought the first sign up for a workshop in color this summer, The studio build continued with gravel and stone work and the painting of the studio walls began. I also joined the PAPME and the Damariscotta River Arts which I am hoping to reve up to speed my painting projects in the Month of May. We’ve had some late winter snows slowing down the outside progress of thaw but Spring will go fast. The work load is daunting but I know that the end results will be worth it. Check out the newest information on my home page notes from the Studiio at http://gallery.deborahchapin.comoriginal painting available through the studio at Back to the Sea II
I would like to announce workshop for July 19th rain or shine at the studio/ grounds.
3 hour study on color, mixing and understanding color with limited palette. This is the same lecture and demonstration that I have given for many years as part of a week long workshop on plein air painting in France and the lecture I’ve given at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Artists are welcome to bring their easels and mix a color chart as well. Artists as well as homeowners, decorators and designers are welcome. Questions can be asked as we go along and weather permitting we’ll walk the grounds to observe the tremendous variations in color in nature.
Artists who bring their own palette can ask how to interpret the colors with their particular set of colors.
First come first basis, $75/ person limit 15 per lecture.

We had a fabulous time discussing color. I plan to do this again at some time after I finish upgrading the studio and catch up on my work. For more information contact me through the contact page above.
